PRCA Digital Awards: Best Use of Video in a Campaign 2018

Shelter won ‘Best Use of Video in Campaign’ at the PRCA Digital Awards 2018 for the ‘Homeless Families Camcorder Diaries’. I spent several months travelling around the UK and embedding camcorders with families living in temporary accommodation and in hostels, enabling them to share their day to day lives and the conditions they had to content with as part of Britain’s population of ‘hidden homeless.’

The project got significant media pick up, with camcorder footage from the families being aired on Channel 4 News and Channel 4’s social media with over 1.5 million views.
